The goal of this assignment was to develop a strategic PR campaign to encourage people to return to movie theaters. For my creative concept, I focused on targeting older generations by tapping into nostalgia and using social media buzz to reignite excitement around the moviegoing experience. Through extensive primary and secondary research, I designed a campaign encouraging audiences to revisit their first movie memories and share them with friends and family.
This project showcases my ability to build a full-scale PR campaign from research and planning to creative strategy, demonstrating strengths in audience analysis, content development, and social media planning. It reflects my commitment to crafting campaigns that blend creativity with research-driven strategy to connect with audiences in meaningful, measurable ways.
Mock Starbucks News Release

For this project, I transformed a narrative blog post into a hard news release announcing the opening of a Starbucks Community Store in collaboration with the LeBron James Family Foundation. I wrote a clear, concise 5–6 paragraph release in traditional news style, following AP Style and using the inverted pyramid structure to prioritize key details. The release included a headline, summary statement, dateline, lead, nut graph, and quotes, along with branded elements like the Starbucks logo, boilerplate, and media contact information to ensure it was ready for distribution. This project showcases my ability to adapt narrative content into a professional press release while maintaining accuracy, engaging storytelling, and alignment with industry standards.
Issue Backgrounder

In this project, I created an Issue Backgrounder on the increased cost of living for a nonprofit homeless shelter, providing stakeholders with clear context on why the issue matters. After drafting and refining the headline and introduction, I conducted in-depth research to develop a structured three- to four-page backgrounder.
The document featured a historical overview, present-day status, and analysis of implications and impact, giving readers a comprehensive understanding of the issue. By integrating feedback and ensuring clarity and relevance, I applied my research and writing skills to produce a professional, informative backgrounder that situates current challenges within a broader context.
